🇺🇸Faith after loss: chaplaincy conversations without an agenda
- 21 ans d'expérience
I served as a hospital chaplain in Atlanta for twenty-one years and now accompany people one to one. Most of my work happens with people whose faith has been knocked sideways by something, and who cannot say that out loud in their own congregation. The conversations I have most: a death that has not settled after years, a diagnosis that has made prayer feel pointless, and anger at God that someone has been told is sinful. That last one I hear constantly, and I will tell you plainly that it is not sinful and that it is in the scriptures on nearly every page. I accompany Christians, people of other faiths and people who have left faith entirely. I am not recruiting for anything. No church, no denomination, no programme. If you want someone who will try to bring you back, I am the wrong person, and I would rather say that before you book.

Ce qui le distingue
Being angry at God is not a sin and it is on nearly every page of the scriptures. People have usually been told the opposite, and hearing that once changes the whole conversation.
