Terms of use

The service is reserved for natural persons of full age with legal capacity, and for legal entities represented by an authorised person.

An account is personal. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for everything done from your account. Sign-ins are logged - date, IP address, device, country - so that we can alert you to unusual access.

The information you declare must be accurate. Impersonating a third party, or presenting yourself under a professional title you do not hold, results in immediate closure of the account.

• Divert the service from its purpose: the platform is there to obtain or give advice, not to canvass, recruit or sell anything else.
• Make unlawful, hateful or defamatory statements, or infringe another person’s privacy.
• Record, capture or broadcast a session without the express agreement of the other party.
• Attempt to access data not intended for you, probe the security of the service, or automate its use without written authorisation.
• Publish a dishonest review, or obtain a review in exchange for something.

Phone numbers, email addresses, messaging handles and external links are automatically masked in the messaging. This is not a human reading your exchanges: the replacement is done by automated processing.

The reason is simple: the platform guarantees payment, invoicing, refunds and recourse. A relationship formed off-platform deprives both parties of those guarantees, and deprives the expert of the system that secures their collection.

Each detected attempt counts as a warning. On the third warning, the account is suspended for seven days. You are informed at each warning, and the original message is kept so that a dispute can be arbitrated.

Exchanging your contact details once the session has been held, for a working relationship that no longer has anything to do with TalkXp, is not forbidden. What is forbidden is bypassing the platform for the service engaged on it.

It follows the life of the session, and nothing else:

• Before acceptance by the expert: closed on both sides.
• From acceptance to the end of the session: open on both sides.
• After the session : thirty minutes, for both. Enough to send a promised link, a forgotten detail, a thank you. Beyond that, what follows goes through a new booking.

The thread stays readable after that window: closing it forbids writing, not re-reading. That is where the brief, a link given, and whatever a dispute turns on are to be found.

Files shared during a call can only be shared during the call, and remain accessible from the session.

NOVODEV may remove manifestly unlawful content, suspend an account as a precaution, or close it in the event of a serious or repeated breach.

A suspension is notified to you with its grounds and its duration. It does not deprive you of your acquired rights: sessions already paid for are honoured or refunded, and sums owed to a suspended expert remain owed to them.

You may challenge a moderation decision by writing to contact@talkxp.com. An automated decision may be re-examined by a human.

You may delete your account at any time, from the app as from the site. Deletion takes effect immediately: the account becomes unusable and your personal data is anonymised.

Certain records cannot be erased and are kept without identity: invoices, for the legal accounting retention period, and the items required for tax returns already filed. The detail is set out in the privacy policy.

A session already booked must be honoured or cancelled before the account is closed.

Every expert may choose a public address of the form talkxp.com/@theirname, which opens their profile. That address is public: it can be shared, search engines index it, and using it has no consequence for you.

An expert may also circulate a personal link to their profile. When you arrive through that link, TalkXp records that the visit came from them, in order to determine the share it takes out of their pay.

This changes nothing in what you pay: the price displayed, the amount debited and your invoice are identical whatever route brought you. The difference concerns only the split between the expert and the platform.

To connect your visit to any later booking, a random identifier is placed in your browser. It carries neither your name, nor your address, nor your IP address, and you may erase it at any time by clearing the site’s data. The detail is set out in the privacy policy.

NOVODEV uses reasonable means to ensure continuity of the service, without guaranteeing uninterrupted availability. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, or because of a technical provider.

If a session cannot be held for a cause attributable to the service, it is refunded in full.

These terms may be amended. Any new version is published on this page with its date of entry into force, and active users are informed. Continuing to use the service after that date constitutes acceptance.
