Dwayne Patterson
🇺🇸Commercial refrigeration down at two in the morning
- 21 years of experience
Twenty-one years in commercial refrigeration across north Texas. My customers are restaurants, convenience stores and small groceries, and my phone rings at the hours when a walk-in cooler decides to quit. Nobody calls about a freezer at nine in the morning. When a walk-in is rising and you have thirty thousand dollars of product in it, the first decision is not the repair, it is whether you move the product and where. I walk people through that first, then through the triage: iced coil, failed condenser fan, low charge, or a defrost cycle stuck. Most of those you can identify by looking and listening, and two of them you can temporarily work around. I also do residential air conditioning, which in Dallas means June through September is one long emergency. If your system is freezing up or short-cycling, there are four checks you can do before anyone charges you a diagnostic fee, and I will take you through all four.

What sets them apart
First question is always what to do with the product, not the compressor. Saving the inventory is worth more than the repair, and most people call me having already lost an hour deciding.
